NNIGHT - BACK TO LONDON PARTY – 9 JAN 2010

 

Welcome back to London for those of you who have been back home for Christmas:)

To beat the traditional “coming-back-to-London-after-the–hols-blues” we are throwing a big BACK TO LONDON NNIGHT PARTY on the 9^th of January 2010 for all Scandinavians living in London.

 

This time we are going to spoil you with an extremely talented singer-songwriter, Ben Montague. Ben’s debut single “Can’t hold me down” was playlisted on radio 2 for an impressive five weeks and he has been labeled as one of the UK’s brightest melodic rock talents.

His debut album is soon to be released with contributions from a top-of-the-range production team including Simple Minds/Gary Barlow producer Peter-John Vetesse, guitar work from Genesis legend Mike Rutherford, the songwriting talents of Kylie/Westlife collaborator Cliff Masterson and Goldfrapp/Bon Jovi mixing wizard Dave Bascombe. Musically, it takes the influence of a range of classic singer-songwriting legends and gives them a youthful and distinctly 21st twist. The results combine elegantly crafted melodic guitar hooks reminiscent of Maroon 5, The Feeling and the mature, resurrected Take That, all blended with modern takes on the brash, showy talents of 70s-era Elton John, the brooding intensity of Eric Clapton and the charismatic showmanship of Queen.   

This is a really rare opportunity to experience a very talented singer-songwriter in an intimate gig before his big breakthrough – and so not to be missed!!:)

 

The venue, Jrink in Soho, is taking pride in being a home away from home and exactly what we need to smoothly getting into the London rut again. It is friendly, stylish without pretension AND has an amazing bar known for a very extensive drinks menu. On the 9^th of January Jrink is offering a special Scandinavian drinks menu & HAPPY HOUR from 7-10pm.
